Phyaics Lab fall 2007

I took Physics 2 lab last semester. There were two labs for physics. The other lab was very crowded ,but there were only six people in our lab. My lab partners were Shawn and Sheryl. Sheryl was a 23 years old ( According to her ) pretty Asian girl who was born in the U.S ,and Shawn was an Indian American. His father was Indian . The first day of the lab we had an Indian teacher.Shawn hated this teacher for some reason . He tried to ask questions to bother him ,and the teacher was trying to give him the right answer to kind of bother him back!!!. This passed ,and we met again in the next lab. The teacher had just changed . a young and new TA was our teacher One of the habits of Shawn was to make jokes about others .Jokes that were bitter.He even made jokes about the new teacher ,and the new teacher stopped him by giving him warnings such as "What's that ? " It was in the third class I believe that Shawn made a comment about Sheryl. He said" If we give this part of the experiment to Sheryl ,she is going to take the whole time." I didn't laugh at that joke because I thought that wasn't a good joke and from that moment Shawn became my enemy ,and he tried to do every thing against me in that lab. He was very out going . In the next class meeting he made a joke about me. I didn't like it ,but I didn't show him an angry face. I thought why should I? He is two years younger than me,and this is a joke " So, I laughed. In all of the remaining labs he some how tried to bother me . when he couldn't , he was bothered. I tried to find ways to stop him ,but it didn't work that much.I didn't know many rules or didn't want to pass the limits . I should have stopped him from the first day,but I didn't know he was like this. Any way ,the story continued until we met in the last lab. From what he said in that lab I got a great lesson. I the last lab he had become friendly. He said"I used to be a very passive person ,and every body took advantage of me. " The teacher who was walking near our group told him" I would be more care full with that !!!!" after a few seconds Shawn started to stare at the screen of the oscilloscope,and then he laughed and said "for some reason I am staring at the Oscilloscope".

reverse discrimination

I write this post ,but I don't claim that I never discriminate.
I knew some black people who always said bad stuff about white people. "white people are cold hearted . Have you been with white people, they .... " These black people were my favorite people. I saw one case of discrimination with my own eyes in the first day that I started working in the US. I found out the reason behind my friend's hate.I ,my self have been discriminated alot by white people. I never remember some one as cold blodded as that white person who discriminated against me. I agree that that white individual was whatever he/she was called by some black people , but I can't accept that it is okay to believe that all white people are like this or at least it is not okay to be rude to every white person that I see or every white person that I suspect to be one of those precious antique Americans.So, I do believe in discrimination and reverse discrimination(the meaning of the expression) some people who have been discriminated in society try to take revenge.But, what is the solution? I kind of this that Martin Luther King had found a formula for it ,and his formula was equality. What do you think? do you think that equality is a good slolution?
